Dr. Chapin was raised in Southern California and attended college at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He continued his education at Emory University and graduated with his dental degree in 1980. He returned to Southern California for a postgraduate residency in General Dentistry at UCLA/Brentwood Medical Center. He is a member of the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society, the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Chapin enjoys his profession and his patients voted him "Best Dentist in Simi Valley."

Dr. Chapin has 2 children who keep him very busy when he is not at the office. In his other spare time, Dr. Chapin is a competitive rifle shooter, bikes and is a history and film buff. He is an active member of the Simi Valley Sunrise Rotary Club and has been awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship for his community service.
