Originally from Arizona, Dr. Fred Matsumoto did his undergraduate work at the University of Arizona as well as Arizona State University. He then attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1968. Following graduation he enlisted in the army and was stationed in Korea for two years as a captain. He started his dental practice in Cerritos in 1972 where he has been ever since. Dr. Fred Matsumoto brings over 31 years of experience to the practice. He is licensed to practice in both California and Arizona and is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Harbor Dental Society. He often volunteers his spare time at the dental school as a part-time faculty member in the restorative department.

Dr. Fred also donates countless hours of volunteer service to the south East Japanese School and community Center. On weekends, Dr. Fred enjoys a competitive round of golf with friends.

Dr. Fred's son, Dr. Mike Matsumoto, joined the practice after graduating from the USC School of Dentistry in 1998. He did his undergraduate work at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Mike also does part-time work at free and low-income dental clinics in the Orange county area. He contributes his spare time as a supervisory dentist at Cypress College where he instructs dental hygiene students. He is also an active member of the ADA, CDA, and HDS
