Background

Doctor Scott Nishizaka received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California-Irvine in 1988. He earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1993 from the University of California-Los Angeles. During his dental school career, he earned numerous Exceptional Performance Reports, a Community Service Award, and participated in many volunteer weekend clinics to help underprivileged children. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at U.C.L.A. in 1994. After completing his formal dental training, he continued to expand his range of skills, completing orthodontic training at Progressive Orthodontic Seminars in May of 1997 and the U.C.L.A. Endodontic Continuum in December of 1997. Since then, he has attended seminars on cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, dental law, patient safety, CPR and infection control among others. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Harbor Dental Society. He has practiced in Southern California since 1994.


Interests and Hobbies

While dentistry is his prime focus professionally, Dr. Nishizaka also has many outside interests. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing (cross-country only since he tore his left ACL in 1996 L ), basketball, swimming, travelling, bicycling and spending time with his family and friends. On a side note, although he is a dentist, don’t ask him about his golf game, it is nonexistent.

The Office

Cambridge Dental Care is a friendly, family run office. Special emphasis is made to allow ample time for you to get Dr. Nishizaka’s undivided attention. We take pains to schedule one appointment at a time so you can receive your care in a relaxed, unhurried manner, with minimal waiting time. The only exception is if we have a rare same-day emergency, which may receive priority if someone is in pain, has a broken tooth, or has active infection. Doctor Nishizaka is accessible via voice-mail for emergency care 24 hours a day. There is also plenty of free parking for your convenience.
